Les Philharmonistes des Pays de Vaucluse rehearse in a small city
called Piolenc situated about 5km from Orange and 20 km from Avignon.
It is in the Provence.
We are composed of about 25 to 30 musicians, some amateurs and some
professionals. We have all ages represented with the youngest musician
who is 17 and the oldest around 75!
We perform a wide range of music, like Malher,Ravel,Bizet,Holst and some
latin music like Paso Dobles,or Cuban music from Perez Prado. We also play 2
pieces that we brought back from our tour in Australia in 2008.
We are really interested in travelling and meeting other people and other
cultures as we 've already made travels and exchange programs with bands
from other countries (USA,Norway,Germany and Australia).
We wish you have enough information to help us and that we will be able to come to your country and meet you .

Best regards
. Sonia PONCET

Ite ad Joseph Brass Band, Qala, Gozo, MALTA

Our brass band is interested in an exchange with an Irish Band.
All bandists have a minimum of Grade 4 in Music Theory and Practice, most
have Ordinary Level Music GCE and a good number have Advanced Level.
Our band is the only band out of 85 bands in Malta and Gozo which have a female
majority membership, 65% to 35% male. We have had 3 exchanges in the past
as indicated in our history, and a sponsored tour by our Local Council.

We would prefer to come over after our village feast (St. Joseph) which is
on 1st August this year. So we would be available any day between 3rd and
25th August 2010, mainly due to school and university commitments of most of
our band members. It would be ideal for us to perform at an event: local,
regional or national. We are open to ideas from your side. We can welcome
a band from Ireland of the similar size on many occasions: locally,
regionally, nationally and internationally.

Kind Regards,
Dr Raymond C. XERRI
President
