All, the CJ Kickham Band has a developed great musical relationship with the Ipswich Hospital Band since 2005. The Ipswich Band has visited twice in this time and we have been to Ipswich in 2008. The Musical Director of the Ipswich Band is Mr. Peter "Paddy" Gray (www.peter-gray.co.uk) a superb Director who learned his trade with the Band of REME (F Horn, Cornet). He and another member of the Royal Marines band (Euphonium) will be visiting during the last week of July 2010 to give master classes to interested people in Tipperary Town. Let me know if you or any members would be interested in attending or if there are other instruments that you would like to be covered. Accommodation can be arranged if required. The purpose of this post is to gauge the level of interest and to tailor the week (or less) to get best value from it.

Thanks and regards,
Joe Moloney.

Hello there,

My name is Gary Curtin and i am a Euphonium player from Cork.

I currently live in Manchester and i am the Principal Euphonium playing with the Fairey (Geneva) Band. We play in the Championship section in the UK and are currently places 9th in the World.

I would be interested in this type of summer school venture as a tutor or fr workshop weekend throughout the year.

Please feel free to contact me should you ever be interested, or alternatively pass on my details to anyone who may be interested.

Gary Curtin
PCGE, PGdip(perf), MA(Perf), BMus(perf).
